Twinkle, twinkle little star

Did’ya see? Katie from Papercut patterns has just released a new collection!

(And since I’m a bit of a Papercut fan girl, naturally I have to tell you all about it.  Just in case you’ve somehow managed to not find out about it yet.  Somehow.)

One thing I really like about Papercut is that Katie releases her patterns as collections – pretty little groups that you can mix and match.  Plus she clearly thinks about how they’ll tie in with the patterns she already has to complement each other and let you put together outfits.

This latest collection is called ‘Constallation‘, a capsule collection of six patterns, all named after stars.  They follow the Papercut aesthetic – clean lines, modern styling, interesting tailoring such as yokes and angles and pockets, and some bloody clever drafting and instructions.  (Plus quite short skirts so, you know, if you’re like me you might want to consider adding a bit of length….)

(I can attest to the drafting and instructions being awesome, just like every other Papercut pattern I’ve ever made, as I was lucky enough to be invited to test one of them.  And, it’s awesome!!!  You’ll have to wait until the weekend to see which one I chose to test though, as I won’t have a chance to get decent photos of it until then.)

I had a heck of a hard decision choosing which one to test – I like so many of them!

(And yes, two or three others are quite high on my things-to-make list and I may have already bought a couple of them….   Heh.  Yeah.  Papercut fan girl, I admit it.)

And just to make it even better, Katie is having a launch sale for her new collection, with 15% off all the new patterns until Friday 15 November.  She’s  still got her free shipping deal going on as well, so, you know, if you’ve ever been tempted, this would be a good time to try out a Papercut pattern and see why a few of us have become self-proclaimed fan girls.  (Seriously.  Try them.  Do it.)

So, which is your favourite?  And can you guess which one I chose to test?  😉

  1. Oooh, I can’t wait to see what you chose to test! This is SUCH a cute collection– Katie really outdid herself!

  2. I ALMOST wish it was winter so I can make a Rigel bomber right now…almost! 😀

  3. The Blazer AND the blouse- love both of those! ~Laurie

  4. The cropped blazer is simply adorable. It would be hard for me to chose, what a great collection of patterns. I have never tried a Papercut pattern but after seeing these beauties I will certainly be adding them to my ever growing pattern stash. Can’t wait to see your choice and the completed project!

    • Oh you should definitely try one! Her drafting and instructions are great, and the way they are packaged is simply lovely 🙂
