One cool thing one strange thing swap

Ok, I admit it – I’m a bad blogger. I actually received these a couple of weeks ago, and I’m only now blogging about them – sorry! *hangs head in shame*

Anyway, I’ve been taking part in the One Cool Thing, One Strange Thing swap that TJ from The Perfect Nose has been organising. Such a great idea for a swap – you send one cool thing and one strange thing from your stash to your swap partner. I’m hoping my swap partner liked their items – they had quite a different style from me, so it took a lot of thinking to decide what to send them! I got this lovely package from Karen in Australia. Thanks, Karen! 🙂

Her ‘cool thing’ is the dress pattern, which she picked up from a local op shop. Ain’t it cute?

And the ‘strange thing’ is the fabric, which also came from the same op shop. It’s a lovely, lightweight slippery fabric, with a gorgeous bright floral print all over it. I’m going to save it for summer and make a pretty top out of it. (I would use it now, but I kinda want to make something I can wear post-pregnancy from it, so I’m going to wait.)

I also received a super amazing surprise package from the wonderful TJ herself, which deserves a post all of it’s own. Stay tuned for that later this week! It’s amazingness totally blew me away, TJ is one generous lady!

  1. Hey Kat! Thought I’d check in and see how you are! I’m REALLY bad at blogging lately but just wanted to give you a HOY and see how you’re travelling! Bump looks EXCELLENT and you’re looking fabulous! I can’t help but wonder how you’re finding the time to keep your sewing mojo! I’ve made a couple of things recently, but my pace has SLOWED down!

Anyways, after a few back and forths with midwives & Drs, we got a confirmed due date of September 12th… is that around the same time as you?

    • Hey lady! Was just thinking about you this weekend and wondering how you’re doing. 🙂

Funny – your due date is exactly the same as mine! (Well, one of mine – I’ve been told both the 12 and 14 September. Go figure.)

Ah, the sewing mojo. It’s nowhere near what it used to be! I think the only reason I’m still getting things made is because I don’t have the energy to socialise, so I stay home and potter around instead, haha! 😉
