Dressember 2011 – part 3

And here we have it – the final days of Dressember 2011.

22 December

Dress: from a clothes swap party
Cardigan: from an op shop in Christchurch
Belt: from a different op shop, in Rangiora
Necklace: Equip (cheap-as chain store)
Shoes: from Banks Shoes
Bag: from another clothes swap party
Hair flower: gift from the lovely Seeks
Sunglasses: Kate Sylvester (New Zealand designer)
Worn: to work, then for a wander around the zoo. Check out those giraffes – aren’t they awesome? (But then, giraffes are always awesome.)

24 December

Dress: from a clothes swap party
Cardigan: either from an op shop or a clothes swap party – I forget which
Necklace: lovebirds by Boh Runga (New Zealand jewellery designer)
Shoes: Adidas
Belt (hidden under cardigan): from an op shop
Worn: around the house, then flying to Dunedin and travelling out to my parent’s place. This photo is in my sister’s old bedroom, where we were staying.

25 December – Christmas!

Dress: me-made Ladies a Plate dress
Cardigan: from an op shop
Shoes: Adidas
Hair ribbon: was around a Christmas present, is now in my hair
Worn: for Christmas Day celebrations at my parent’s house, with my family. My parents own a small lifestyle block (I used to call it a “hobby farm”), and this photo is from one of the paddocks near the top of their section

26 December – Boxing Day!

Dress: me-made Sweetheart Red dress
Belt: from an op shop
Necklace: burnt match necklace by a New Zealand jewellery (Christmas gift from my mummy)
Worn: on a road trip with my family down to Gore for the annual extended-family Christmas BBQ, then back to Dunedin again. This photo was taken in Balclutha, with the (famous-in-southern-NZ) Balclutha Bridge in the background.

27 December

Dress: me-made November dress
Shoes: Adidas
Worn: lazing around my parent’s house for the day. This photo was taken on their balcony.

28 December
Dress: from a clothes swap
Sunglasses: Kate Sylvester (New Zealand designer)
Shoes: Adidas
Necklace: greenstone that Steve gave me for Christmas. It means “Strength, Independence, Unity”.
Worn: around my parent’s house and farm. I gave Steve a kite for Christmas, so we were outside flying it. Fun!

29 December

Dress: me-made Buzzy Bees dress
Bag: from a clothes swap
Sunglasses: Kate Sylvester
Shoes: Adidas
Worn: around the Chinese Gardens in Dunedin (where the photo was taken), then on a walk along the Aramoana Spit

30 December

Cardigan: from an op shop (or perhaps a clothes swap?)
Shoes: Adidas
Bag: from a clothes swap
Jacket (in next photo): from my friend Christina
Worn: on a trip to Oamaru (steampunk capital of New Zealand. Hence the steampunk ray gun), with a side-trip to Shag Point where we saw a whole lot of fur seals. Can you spot them in the picture below?

31 December

Dress: me-made Buzzy Bees dress
Cardigan: from an op shop
Necklace: Origami Crane by a New Zealand designer
Jacket: from my friend Christina
Shoes: Adidas
Worn: around my parent’s place, then flying back to Wellington. Home again!

    • Yay, I’m glad it arrived safe and sound! 🙂 Looking forward to seeing what you make with it.

Thanks for the hair colour vote – I have constant debates with myself about which colour to dye my hair.

  2. Asides from your lovely ensembles, I’m so impressed that you can leave work and go for a wander at the zoo! That red sweetheart dress of yours is truly gorgeous!

    • I’m pretty lucky with where I live – the zoo is only five minutes walk away. (Sometimes we can hear the monkeys from our house, haha!)
